Delmonico, Rodney James

Class of 1976

Born May 14, 1958 graduated from New Hanover High School 1976.

He attended Liberty University with a bachelor’s degree in physical education and holds a masters degree from Clemson University in education administration.

Delmonico was assistant coach at Gloucester County College, assistant coach at Clemson and assistant coach at Florida State University.  He was head coach of the Tennessee Volunteers baseball team then joined Florida International University.  He was manager of the Netherlands national baseball team and managed the team in the 2009 World Baseball Classic.

Delmonico was awarded the Baseball American College Coach of the Year in 1995


Accolades: Delmonico was awarded the Baseball American College Coach of the Year 1995.
