Class of 1956

Born October 20, 1938 graduated from New Hanover High School 1956.

Gumb received a BS from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Master’s from Emory University, and a PhD from Lehigh University.  He was a professor of computer science at Temple University, California State University at Northridge, New Nexico Technology at Socorro and at UMass Lowell.

He was an accomplished author with a number of accredited titles including: “Rule-Governed Linguistic Behavior, Evolving Theories, Programming Logics, and Essays in Semantics and Epistemology.

New Hanover High School Alumni Organization mission is to establish and enhance alumni relations within the New Hanover High School community and to promote education and historical preservation.
