Gattison, Kenny Clay

Class of 1982

Born May 23, 1964 graduated New Hanover High School 1982.

He Attended Old Dominion University.

An American professional basketball player and National Basketball Association assistant coach.

Gattison played for the Phoenix Suns, Fulgor Libertas Forli, Quad City Thunder, Charlotte Hornets, and the Vancouver Grizzlies.  He was assistant coach with the New Jersey Nets, Old Dominion, New Orleans Hornets, Atlanta Hawks and the Phoenix Suns.

Gattison was the Sun Belt Player of the Year (1986) and named the Sun Belt Conferences’ All-Decade team.  The ODU Alumni Association named him as the 1986 Male Athlete of the year.  2013 inductee into the Greater Wilmington Sports Hall of Fame
