Class of 2006

Born November 11, 1987 graduated New Hanover High School 2006

He attended St. John’s College, Oxford , Duke University, University of North Carolina and Furman University on a Herman W. Lay Scholarship majoring in Political Science and Communication.

He authored books on faith, leadership and politics.

While at Furman, Barnhill received the President’s volunteer Service Award from President George W. Bush.  Endorsed by President Barack Obama as one of the few high profile state senate Democratic candidates.

New Hanover High School Alumni Organization mission is to establish and enhance alumni relations within the New Hanover High School community and to promote education and historical preservation.
