Simmons, Clyde

Born August 4, 1964 attend New Hanover High School.

 

Simmons attended Western Carolina University.  He made his NFL debut with the Philadelphia Eagles.  He also played for the Chicago Bears, Jacksonville Jaguars, Arizona Cardinals and Cincinnati Bengals primarily as a Defensive Lineman.  Simmons was selected to the Pro Bowl in 1991 and 1992.  He was the assistant defensive line coach for the St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams and defensive line coach for the Cleveland Browns.

2008 inductee into the Greater Wilmington Sports Hall of Fame.
